Reiki

Reiki is a powerful, yet gentle hands-on or near body energy therapy to treat the mental, emotional and physical bodies. Reiki was originally developed as a spiritual awareness technique, however this increased awareness, combined with the Reiki energy delivered by a practitioner, creates healing on all levels of our being. Clients can experience a variety of benefits from a single Reiki session: increased contentment, deep relaxation, decreased feelings of stress, depression, and fear, as well as a decrease in physical symptoms, particularly inflammation. In many Eastern and Western modalities of healing, chronic inflammation is believed to be the cause of many diseases. Therefore, Reiki can be a beneficial addition to an existing treatment plan or on its own.

Distance Reiki

Similar to other healing modalities, Reiki relies equally on the practitioner and the recipient. We must put effort into changing our actions and mindset to align with the vibrations of healing. If we go to a physiotherapist once a week to correct our posture or recover from an injury, we are much more likely to see results if we adhere to their prescribed at-home regimen. No medicine will work to its fullest extent without buy-in from the patient. Distance Reiki relies on the combined intention from both recipient and practitioner. The principles of Reiki teach us that the Universal Life Force (Prana or Chi) is an intelligent force that does not exist within our concepts of space and time. Therefore, through this combined effort, Reiki energy can be received from great distances.
